Greg Scheibel has always felt a strong connection with the outdoors.
Throughout his life he has spent a great deal of time outside, fishing, hunting and hiking, which has led to an intimate knowledge
of the landscapes he now chooses to paint. He has loved to draw for as long as he can remember, and believes good drawing
is a prerequisite to good painting, regardless of technique or subject matter. Greg has dedicated himself to becoming a better
artist, through continual study, a strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for what he is doing. He feels fortunate to have
received advice and instruction from a number of exceptional artists in recent years, with the most important lesson being
the value of painting from life.

Greg was a drywall contractor for many
years, always with a dream of someday taking his passion for art to the next level. Years of drawing, pouring over art books,
collecting and studying paintings of artists he admired, and a general accumulation of lifes experiences contribute to
what he puts into his paintings. Although still relatively new to the professional art world, he began selling his work in
2005 and became a fulltime artist in 2007, he shows his work in some of the West's finest Galleries and has been invited or
juried into a number of prestigious shows. He has received several awards for his work, including Awards of Excellence
from the Oil Painters of America and Scholarships from the Scottsdale Artists School. He has also been listed as
an 'Artist to Watch' in Southwest Art Magazine, and featured in Western Art Collector Magazine. He is truly excited about
his new career as a painter, and is looking forward to spending his life working to improve his ability as an artist. Greg
lives in Bozeman, Montana with his wife and two children.
